A very well done to Ed Rayner who wins Fish of the Month for March.

He banked 3 commons at 25lb, 31lb and 31-14. Not a bad session on Snipe Lake at all and the 31lber is a fish that has broken the 30lb mark for the first time.

Well done Ed, a free session is yours.

Isn't it strange how some anglers can catch the same fish several times. Yet other anglers will never catch it no matter how long they fish the lake. That's certainly the case with Steve Duffy and 'Hayleys Mirror'. Banking her for a 3rd time in just over a month!
The 1st capture was a new lake record at 37-12, but as Steve was on his own the needle was bouncing slightly so he took the lowest weight. The 2nd time, again Steve was on his own so just slipped her back without weighing, but did say she looked bigger. For the 3rd time yesterday afternoon he phoned myself and Andy to help weigh and verify it. Once hoisted up on to the...

Its a phone call Ben and I have been waiting for. Spencer Louth has just banked a new Daughters Lake record grass carp and a personal best to boot at 30lb exactly. As soon as he netted it he called me and within 2 minutes I was there with our own sling and scales to verify the weight. Although we have seen a few of the big grassies being caught of late, we have never had a 30lber grace the bank on Daughters Lake.
I think the reason Spencer isn't smiling in the picture is because he knew a bucket of cold water was coming his way at any time.
A very well done Spencer. Happy Days.

Ben and I are pleased to announce that we have teamed up with the Anglers National Line Recycling Scheme. The ANLRS is run on a purely voluntary basis and working with fisheries, tackle shops and anglers hopefully they can encourage us all to re-cycle our old fishing line.
We have 3 bins in our on site tackle shop, for Mono, Braid or Fluorocarbon so if you have any old line we encourage you to use it next time you visit us.
