Isn't it strange how some anglers can catch the same fish several times. Yet other anglers will never catch it no matter how long they fish the lake. That's certainly the case with Steve Duffy and 'Hayleys Mirror'. Banking her for a 3rd time in just over a month!
The 1st capture was a new lake record at 37-12, but as Steve was on his own the needle was bouncing slightly so he took the lowest weight. The 2nd time, again Steve was on his own so just slipped her back without weighing, but did say she looked bigger. For the 3rd time yesterday afternoon he phoned myself and Andy to help weigh and verify it. Once hoisted up on to the tripod, we were all amazed when the scales spun round to yet another Snipe Lake record of 38-14!!
A very well done to Steve, he's certainly shown us how to do it over the past 7 weeks or so. Some very good angling fella!
